*A nurse practitioner (NP) is a nurse who has advanced clinical education and training. NPs share many of the same duties as doctors. They perform physical exams, diagnose and treat diseases and other health conditions, and prescribe medication.

Sports Medicinephysio

Dr. Alan Byrne is qualified in Sports Medicine having obtained a degree in Sports Medicine at UCD. He is on the Specialist Register of Sports and Exercise Medicine and has been the team doctor with the Republic of Ireland soccer team since 2003. Dr. Alan Byrne is also a consultant at the Beacon Clinic.

Physiotherapy

Ms Paulette Kilkenny is a Chartered physiotherapy who joined the practice in 1994. She has a keen interest in treating spinal complaints, such as back or neck pain, and sports injuries. You may obtain her information leaflet at the Scholarstown Family Practice.
